today i shall blog about how annoying people are, new music and how much i want my hair to grow 5 inches and magically turn a different color

first off

people bug the shit out of me sometimes. kay so i have a good time la dee da with people and then the next day...

nothing to say, awkward silences, weirdly avoiding eye contact. what is this? i thought our one day of fun officially qualified us as friends.

real estate equals love. so much of it

when i first heard of this band i thought it was sunny day real estate, who i've never heard and don't really plan to anytime soon, i therefore completely ignored them.

then i was forced into listening to them when they fatefully appeared in my recently added songs (no idea how this happened).

boy oh boy am i glad they wriggled there way into some random free compilation i accidentaly downloaded

my absolute favorite song is Green River. it sounds vaguely like akron family and here we go magic (via daytrotter) mixed with some average chill-wave band times like infinities of goodness.

the next greatest song on the album is Fake Blues. it's more upbeat and surfy, in like a slow motion black and white surfy way and sounds similar to Born Ruffians and the Dodos (i heard fables in my local strip mall wtf) once agian times infinities of greatness.

okay now about hair:

so this girl i know (not sure if we're friends?) anyway she just shaved her hair in to this awesome floppy non-symmetrical mohawk. it's awesome. so jealous.

and meanwhile my hair looks like a retarded semi-mullet in comparison. i learned something i'd love to share with yall: PIXIE CUTS GROW OUT AND BECOME MULLETS.

yes i know it's shocking, but it's true.

yeah ewwwwwwwww. and excuse the extra grossness but it's 2 am and i'm not wearing makeup so git over it.

also i haven't kept up my routine of dying my hair weird brown red purple colors so my transluscent mousy colored hair is revealing a full inch of of it's gloriousness. it sounds as lovely as it looks. i can't decide whether to wait out this awkward phase and then cut it and bleach it/ let the color grow out. I HAVE NO CLUE.

but i do know that i want a weird hair cut. the kind where people take like 10 minutes and then notice all these weird inconsistencies in your hair cut and color. like chunks missing and uneven bangs and half of your is blonde and wavy and the rest is messy and light brown. that kind of shit.

like that or something. minus the gross septum piercing and the super voluminous thing going on, on the right and probably the shaving. so nothing like that actually. but that sort of idea. you know?

so either i'll have a friend do it or go to rudy's and see what the fuck they come up with.

okay so today someone was talking about me and said, "oh katie the goth girl that hangs out with the lesbian and the trendy asian." way to go man. if you're gonna stereotype someone at least try to get it right!

when i think of goth i think of this:

so umm if you've been on the internet in the past 15 minutes you probably saw that the writer Tao Lin and blogger 'Carles' leaked a song from their band (Jesus Christ) to Gorilla Vs. Bear. Now, I'm a big fan of tao's writing and of course carles blogging (it's a guilty pleasure) so i suppose it's not surprising that i enjoy the song. Nevertheless it's pretty embarrassing. I mean considering who Tao Lin and 'Carles' are, this song is probably making fun of me and everyone who enjoyed it even a little bit. It's probably some comment on the state of music and memes and what not today

but...............I DON'T REALLY CARE

i bought those overalls in white a couple weeks ago at the flea market. wish i could wear bandeaus to school. :(

this is old but i am SO in love with this girl's outfit and bike. someday i will be this girl i swear to god

i love this outfit because it takes all those annoying Zooey Deschanel wannabes and put them to shame. so cute and classy! also her eyes are really fucking scary. i'm sort of afraid to think anything bad about her
